Resume templates for software engineers and tech roles

Tech resumes are read for skills and proof: what you know, and what you built with it. These templates put the stack and the projects where an engineering reader looks first, and keep links intact so a GitHub or portfolio URL survives the PDF. One of them, Dual, uses a slim side column and is labelled.

How to choose

  • Technical or Stack for software engineers: skills and projects up top.
  • Campus for engineering freshers: the one-page placement shape.
  • Analytics for data analysts, data scientists and data engineers.
  • DevOps, Quality or Core for platform engineers, testers, and civil, mechanical or electrical engineers.

A tech resume is not a list of technologies. Each skill you list should appear in a bullet that shows you used it; interviewers ask about every one.

Questions

Should a software engineer resume have a skills section at the top?

Yes, a short one. Recruiters and ATS searches look for the stack first. Keep it to what you can discuss, and prove each item in your experience or projects.

Do tech recruiters care about resume design?

Very little. They care that it is readable and parses cleanly. A plain, well-ordered page with strong bullets wins over a designed one.
