Delivery Executive cover letter example
By Bhagirath Sheela, founder of JobCatch ·
This letter was drafted by JobCatch's cover-letter writer from the sample Delivery Executive resume, for a plain posting for the role. It uses only what is already on the resume — the current job, its strongest bullets and the skills the posting asks for that the resume has. It invents nothing, which is why it is short.
The letter, as text
I am writing to apply for the Delivery Executive position. I currently work as Delivery Executive at Quickbite Food Delivery.
Some of what I have done:
- Deliver about 28 orders a day across east Delhi on my own two-wheeler.
- Kept a 4.8 out of 5 customer rating and a 97% on-time record for two years.
- Handle cash-on-delivery collections of up to ₹15,000 a day with zero shortfall.
The role asks for Customer service, Hindi and English, which I have worked with.
I would welcome the chance to talk about how I could contribute. My resume is attached. Thank you for your time.
What to add for a Delivery Executive role
Mention your licence, your own vehicle if you have one, and the areas you know. A short, clear letter is enough for most delivery jobs.
Before you send it
- Name the company and, if you can find it, the hiring manager.
- Add one sentence on why this company: something specific you read about it.
- Keep it under one page, and send it as a PDF with the same name and contact line as your resume.
What to leave out
- Adjectives about yourself — "passionate", "results-driven", "hardworking". Facts do that job better.
- Your whole resume again. Pick the two or three things that matter most for this job.
- Salary, notice period and personal details, unless the posting asks for them in the letter.
