Delivery Executive resume example
By Bhagirath Sheela, founder of JobCatch ·
Delivery jobs are hired quickly, and the resume should make the basics obvious: a valid driving licence, your own two-wheeler if you have one, a smartphone, the areas you know, and your delivery record. A short, clear page is better than a long one.
What recruiters look for
- Driving licence (two-wheeler) and whether you have your own vehicle
- Areas and routes you know well
- Delivery record: orders a day, on-time rate, ratings
- Smartphone and app use, and cash handling

Fresher
Class 12 pass with a two-wheeler licence and my own bike, a smartphone, and good knowledge of the roads in east Delhi. Available for full-time or shift work.
Experienced
Delivery executive with three years in food and parcel delivery across east Delhi. Average 28 deliveries a day with a 4.8 rating and 97% on time.
Skills, spelled the way postings spell them
An applicant tracking system matches the words in the job posting, and it does not reliably treat two spellings as one skill. The left column is the form most postings use; the right, other spellings people type. Use the posting's own spelling for each application, and list only what you can discuss in an interview.
| Skill | Also written as |
|---|---|
| Customer service | Customer support, Customer handling |

| English | — |
Also worth listing if you have them: Two-wheeler driving licence, Route knowledge, Cash on delivery handling, Delivery apps and GPS.
Bullet examples
Each bullet says what you did and what changed because of it. Change the numbers to your own; a recruiter will ask about every one.
- Deliver about 28 orders a day across east Delhi on my own two-wheeler.
- Kept a 4.8 out of 5 customer rating and a 97% on-time record for two years.
- Handle cash-on-delivery collections of up to ₹15,000 a day with zero shortfall.
- Know the routes and building entrances in eight localities, cutting missed deliveries.
- Guide new riders on the app, routes and safe riding during their first week.
For freshers: projects and internships
- Two-wheeler driving licence and my own bike; comfortable with map and delivery apps.
- Helped in a family shop for two years, handling customers and cash.
- Know the roads of east Delhi well from daily travel.
Mistakes to avoid
- Forgetting the licence details. It is the first thing an employer checks.
- Leaving out ratings and on-time figures. They prove you are reliable.
- Paying a "joining fee" or "bag deposit" to an agent. Genuine platforms and employers explain any charges in writing; a cash fee to a middleman is a warning sign.
What an ATS reads from this sample
An applicant tracking system turns the PDF into plain text before anyone reads it. This is that text for the sample above, extracted by the same code as "What the ATS reads" in the app. Everything is in reading order, under the right heading, with the name and email intact — which is what a single-column template is for.

Interview questions to prepare
The app's interview prep for this sample and a plain Delivery Executive posting. It works from the resume and the posting only, and tells you how to prepare, never what to say.
Questions every interview has
- Tell me about yourself. Two minutes: what you do now (Delivery Executive at Quickbite Food Delivery), one result you are proud of, and why this role is next.
- Why do you want this job? Read their website and one recent piece of news before the call. Name something specific.
- Why are you leaving your current job? Say what you are moving towards. Do not criticise your employer.
- What is your notice period, and what salary are you expecting? Decide your number before the interview, so you are not deciding it on the call.

Questions
Do I need a resume for a delivery job?
Not always, but a simple one-page resume helps with companies and agencies that hire through forms or walk-ins, and shows you are organised. The Saral template is made for this.
What should a delivery executive's resume include?
Licence, vehicle, phone, areas you know, your delivery numbers if you have them, and languages. Keep it to one page.
