Front Office Executive cover letter example
By Bhagirath Sheela, founder of JobCatch ·
This letter was drafted by JobCatch's cover-letter writer from the sample Front Office Executive resume, for a plain posting for the role. It uses only what is already on the resume — the current job, its strongest bullets and the skills the posting asks for that the resume has. It invents nothing, which is why it is short.
The letter, as text
I am writing to apply for the Front Office Executive position. I currently work as Front Office Executive at Blue Lotus Business Hotel.
Some of what I have done:
- Handle about 60 check-ins and check-outs a day on Opera PMS in a 180-room business hotel.
- Kept guest satisfaction scores for the front desk above 4.6 out of 5 for two years.
- Resolved guest complaints at the desk; escalations to the duty manager fell by 30%.
The role asks for Front office operations, Customer service, Microsoft Office, Data entry, Client communication and English, which I have worked with.
I would welcome the chance to talk about how I could contribute. My resume is attached. Thank you for your time.
What to add for a Front Office Executive role
Mention your languages, the systems you know and the setting you have worked in. A short, warm, well-written letter also shows the manner a front desk needs.
Before you send it
- Name the company and, if you can find it, the hiring manager.
- Add one sentence on why this company: something specific you read about it.
- Keep it under one page, and send it as a PDF with the same name and contact line as your resume.
What to leave out
- Adjectives about yourself — "passionate", "results-driven", "hardworking". Facts do that job better.
- Your whole resume again. Pick the two or three things that matter most for this job.
- Salary, notice period and personal details, unless the posting asks for them in the letter.
