SQL Developer cover letter example

I am writing to apply for the SQL Developer position. I currently work as Senior SQL Developer at Suraksha Insure Tech.
Some of what I have done:
- Tuned the claims database on SQL Server; the slowest month-end report fell from 40 minutes to 90 seconds.
- Wrote and maintain 120 stored procedures and functions that the policy system depends on.
- Designed the schema for a new rewards programme holding 3 crore transactions a year.
The role asks for SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL and Database design, which I have worked with.
I would welcome the chance to talk about how I could contribute. My resume is attached. Thank you for your time.
What to add for an SQL Developer role
Give one query or procedure you tuned, with the before-and-after time. Database teams hire on performance work they can see.
Before you send it
- Name the company and, if you can find it, the hiring manager.
- Add one sentence on why this company: something specific you read about it.
- Keep it under one page, and send it as a PDF with the same name and contact line as your resume.
What to leave out
- Adjectives about yourself — "passionate", "results-driven", "hardworking". Facts do that job better.
- Your whole resume again. Pick the two or three things that matter most for this job.
- Salary, notice period and personal details, unless the posting asks for them in the letter.
