PHP Developer cover letter example

I am writing to apply for the PHP Developer position. I currently work as Senior PHP Developer at Webcraft Digital Agency.
Some of what I have done:
- Built 18 Laravel applications for agency clients, from booking systems to B2B order portals.
- Integrated Razorpay, PayU and Stripe for six e-commerce stores processing ₹2 crore a year.
- Upgraded a client's codebase from PHP 7.2 to 8.2 and Laravel 6 to 10, cutting page time by 30%.
The role asks for PHP, Laravel, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery and HTML5, which I have worked with.
I would welcome the chance to talk about how I could contribute. My resume is attached. Thank you for your time.
What to add for a PHP Developer role
List two or three client projects with what they achieved. Agencies hiring PHP developers want to know you deliver for clients on time.
Before you send it
- Name the company and, if you can find it, the hiring manager.
- Add one sentence on why this company: something specific you read about it.
- Keep it under one page, and send it as a PDF with the same name and contact line as your resume.
What to leave out
- Adjectives about yourself — "passionate", "results-driven", "hardworking". Facts do that job better.
- Your whole resume again. Pick the two or three things that matter most for this job.
- Salary, notice period and personal details, unless the posting asks for them in the letter.
