Android Developer cover letter example

I am writing to apply for the Android Developer position. I currently work as Senior Android Developer at Paybridge Digital.
Some of what I have done:
- Rebuilt the payments home screen in Jetpack Compose for an app with 2 crore installs.
- Cut the APK size from 42 MB to 27 MB with R8, resource shrinking and dynamic feature modules.
- Reduced ANRs by 60% on phones with 2 GB of RAM by moving disk work to coroutines.
The role asks for Kotlin, Android development, Jetpack Compose, Java, Firebase and REST APIs, which I have worked with.
I would welcome the chance to talk about how I could contribute. My resume is attached. Thank you for your time.
What to add for an Android Developer role
Link your app on Google Play and mention how it performs on low-end phones. In India that is most of the users, and Android leads know it.
Before you send it
- Name the company and, if you can find it, the hiring manager.
- Add one sentence on why this company: something specific you read about it.
- Keep it under one page, and send it as a PDF with the same name and contact line as your resume.
What to leave out
- Adjectives about yourself — "passionate", "results-driven", "hardworking". Facts do that job better.
- Your whole resume again. Pick the two or three things that matter most for this job.
- Salary, notice period and personal details, unless the posting asks for them in the letter.
