Frontend Developer cover letter example

I am writing to apply for the Frontend Developer position. I currently work as Frontend Developer at Cartwise Retail Tech.
Some of what I have done:
- Rebuilt the product listing page in Next.js with server rendering; Largest Contentful Paint fell from 4.1 s to 1.9 s on mobile.
- Cut the main JavaScript bundle by 38% by code-splitting routes and removing two unused libraries.
- Built 40 reusable components for the company design system, now used by four product teams.
The role asks for JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML5 and CSS3, which I have worked with.
I would welcome the chance to talk about how I could contribute. My resume is attached. Thank you for your time.
What to add for a Frontend Developer role
Link the live project you are proudest of in the first paragraph and say what you would improve on the employer's own site. It shows the eye for users that frontend teams hire for.
Before you send it
- Name the company and, if you can find it, the hiring manager.
- Add one sentence on why this company: something specific you read about it.
- Keep it under one page, and send it as a PDF with the same name and contact line as your resume.
What to leave out
- Adjectives about yourself — "passionate", "results-driven", "hardworking". Facts do that job better.
- Your whole resume again. Pick the two or three things that matter most for this job.
- Salary, notice period and personal details, unless the posting asks for them in the letter.
