Flutter Developer resume example
By Bhagirath Sheela, founder of JobCatch ·
Flutter is popular with Indian startups and agencies that need one codebase for Android and iOS. Recruiters look for Dart and Flutter depth — state management, platform channels, performance — and apps that are live in both stores.
What recruiters look for
- Dart and Flutter, with the state management the team uses (Bloc, Provider, Riverpod)
- Apps live on Google Play and the App Store
- Platform channels and native integrations
- Firebase and REST API integration

Summary examples
Fresher
Flutter developer with two apps published on Google Play, one with 8,000 installs. Uses Bloc for state and Firebase for auth and storage.
Experienced
Flutter developer with three years building apps for agency clients. Shipped nine apps to both stores, including a grocery app with 3 lakh installs.
Skills, spelled the way postings spell them
An applicant tracking system matches the words in the job posting, and it does not reliably treat two spellings as one skill. The left column is the form most postings use; the right, other spellings people type. Use the posting's own spelling for each application, and list only what you can discuss in an interview.
| Skill | Also written as |
|---|---|
| Flutter | — |
| Dart | — |
| Firebase | Firestore |
| REST APIs | REST, RESTful APIs, REST API |
| Android development | Android, Android SDK |
| iOS development | iOS, SwiftUI |
| Git | Version control, GitHub, Bitbucket |
| Unit testing | Unit tests |
| CI/CD | Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, CICD |
Also worth listing if you have them: Bloc / Riverpod.
Bullet examples
Each bullet says what you did and what changed because of it. Change the numbers to your own; a recruiter will ask about every one.
- Shipped nine Flutter apps to Google Play and the App Store for agency clients.
- Built a grocery app with 3 lakh installs, live order tracking and UPI payments.
- Moved state management from setState to Bloc across 60 screens, ending a class of stale-UI bugs.
- Wrote a platform channel in Kotlin and Swift for a biometric login the plugin did not support.
- Cut first-frame time by 40% with deferred loading and image caching.
For freshers: projects and internships
- Published a campus-canteen ordering app in Flutter and Firebase: 8,000 installs.
- Built a weather app with Riverpod and a public API, with tests for its state logic.
- Internship: built two screens for a client's Flutter app and fixed 20 bugs.
Mistakes to avoid
- Only Android builds. Say if you have shipped to the App Store too.
- Not naming your state-management approach. It is the first thing Flutter interviewers ask.
- A list of pub.dev packages as skills. Show what you built with them instead.
What an ATS reads from this sample
An applicant tracking system turns the PDF into plain text before anyone reads it. This is that text for the sample above, extracted by the same code as "What the ATS reads" in the app. Everything is in reading order, under the right heading, with the name and email intact — which is what a single-column template is for.

Interview questions to prepare
The app's interview prep for this sample and a plain Flutter Developer posting. It works from the resume and the posting only, and tells you how to prepare, never what to say.
Questions every interview has
- Tell me about yourself. Two minutes: what you do now (Flutter Developer at Appforge Solutions), one result you are proud of, and why this role is next.
- Why do you want this job? Read their website and one recent piece of news before the call. Name something specific.
- Why are you leaving your current job? Say what you are moving towards. Do not criticise your employer.
- What is your notice period, and what salary are you expecting? Decide your number before the interview, so you are not deciding it on the call.
About the skills the job asks for
- Tell me about a time you used Dart. Pick one real example: what the problem was, what you did, and what changed.
- Tell me about a time you used REST APIs. Pick one real example: what the problem was, what you did, and what changed.
- Tell me about a time you used Flutter. Pick one real example: what the problem was, what you did, and what changed.

Questions to ask them
- What would a good first three months in this role look like?
- Who would I work with most closely?
- What are the next steps, and when should I expect to hear back?
Templates that suit this role
All of these are single-column and read cleanly by an applicant tracking system. Classic is free, with no watermark.
Questions
Is Flutter good for getting a job in India?
Yes, especially at startups and agencies that build for both platforms. Pair it with some native Android or iOS knowledge to widen your options.
Should I list Dart separately from Flutter?
Yes. Some postings and ATS searches look for "Dart" on its own, and it costs one word.
